Leah Turner
Executive Director
Leah Turner became the Executive Director in December of 2025 for CASA For Kids. Leah previously held the position of Assistant Director from August 2024 to December 2025 as well as Volunteer Supervisor for Preston County from November 2021 to June 2024. In the past she has worked within a variety of settings with diverse individuals providing her with numerous and valuable experiences. She has worked with a range of ages, including preschool children and their families, and adults in substance abuse treatment centers. Her previous employment before coming to CASA, was working with adults with intellectual disabilities in a day program center. In addition to her experience, as a Preston County Native she has a passion for social services and is extremely enthusiastic about giving back to her community by helping others.  She looks forward to taking bigger challenges with long lasting rewards in witnessing the joy that has been shared with her since becoming a part of CASA For Kids mission.

Cierra Watkins
Monongalia County Volunteer Supervisor
Cierra joined CASA For Kids in May of 2025. She graduated with her Bachelors in Child and Family Studies and Associates in Education from Davis and Elkins College. She continued schooling at West Virginia University for her Masters Degree in Social Work. Throughout her career, Cierra has held various roles dedicated to supporting children within the foster care system. Her commitment to the child welfare system drives her work at CASA.
Outside of her professional life Cierra enjoys spending time with her husband, their three pets, family and friends. One of her favorite joys is attending concerts whenever possible.

Elayna Twigg
Monongalia County Volunteer Supervisor
Elayna recently graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a strong foundation in public policy, government, and advocacy. She is particularly interested in systems that support children, families, and communities.
She brings over six years of experience as a nanny, working closely with children and families and developing strong skills in communication, problem-solving, and child development. Through this work, she fostered safe, supportive environments tailored to each child’s needs.
Elayna is passionate about service-oriented work and values advocacy, community involvement, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families.

Les Taylor
Preston County Volunteer Supervisor
Les is a seasoned public service professional with more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement, organizational leadership, and community engagement. He has served in senior leadership roles including Sheriff, operations supervisor, and assistant general manager, with responsibility for staff development, policy implementation, budget oversight, and program administration.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to ethical leadership, collaboration, and service to the community, working closely with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and civic partners. Les brings a steady, mission-focused perspective and a practical understanding of governance, accountability, and community impact to board service.

Tim Berry
Eternally Home Program Director
Tim joined CASA For Kids as Director of the Eternally Home program in January 2026. Tim is dedicated to supporting and protecting children through proactive, family-centered solutions.
Tim brings a strong background in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and service-driven work to CASA for Kids. As a veteran and longtime advocate for families and youth in North Central West Virginia, he is deeply committed to building trust, fostering partnerships, and creating sustainable programs that have lasting impact. His professional experience, combined with a genuine passion for protecting children and supporting caregivers, drives his work every day and reinforces his belief that early intervention and compassionate support can change the trajectory of a child’s life.
