Over the years, CASA For Kids of Monongalia and Preston Counties has hosted a variety of engaging and impactful events to raise awareness and support for children in foster care. From our elegant Pearl Anniversary Gala celebrating 30 years of advocacy, to the high-energy Community Goose Chase, and family-friendly fundraisers like the Brighter Futures 3K Fun Run and Annual Golf Tournament, each event has brought our community together to champion brighter futures for local children. CASA For Kids Golf Tournament

The CASA For Kids Golf Tournament held in 2023 took place on October 16 at the Preston Country Club in Kingwood, West Virginia. This inaugural event featured a co-ed scramble format with teams of four, aiming to raise funds for CASA For Kids of Monongalia and Preston Counties. The organization provides advocacy services to children in the foster care system, ensuring their voices are heard throughout legal proceedings. Proceeds from the tournament supported the recruitment and training of additional volunteers, enhancing CASA's capacity to serve the growing number of children in need.

Brighter Future 3K Run

The CASA For Kids Brighter Futures 3K Fun Run/Walk took place on April 22, 2023, at the WV Northern Rail Trail Head in Kingwood, West Virginia. CASA organized this event with Preston County Parks and Recreation to raise awareness and funds for children in the foster care system. Participants enjoyed the scenic trails of the rail trail while supporting a meaningful cause. Registration fees ranged from $15 in advance to $20 on the day of the event

Pearl Anniversary GALA

The CASA For Kids "Pearl Anniversary" Gala, held on March 9, 2024, at the Botanic Garden in Morgantown, West Virginia, celebrated 30 years of advocating for children in the foster care system. The elegant evening featured cocktails, a gourmet dinner, and dancing, bringing together community leaders, supporters, and volunteers to honor the organization's legacy and impact. The event also recognized key sponsors, including WVU Medicine Children's, Greer Industries, and Huntington National Bank, whose contributions support CASA's mission to provide trained volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court proceedings.

Community Goose Chase

The CASA For Kids Community Goose Chase, held on August 24, 2024, marked the inaugural edition of this unique fundraising event in Morgantown, West Virginia. Teams of 4–5 participants embarked on a city-wide scavenger hunt, solving clues and completing challenges at iconic locations such as The WOW! Factory, Woodburn Hall, and the WVU Football Stadium. Utilizing the Goose Chase app, teams navigated the area, earning points for each task completed. The event concluded at Granville Park with a family-friendly celebration featuring lunch, games, and activities like face painting and cornhole. Proceeds from the Goose Chase supported CASA For Kids' mission to advocate for children in foster care and the court system .
